WHAT’S IT ABOUT?

Struggling single father Dennis Nash (Garfield) is evicted from his home along with his mother (Dern) and his young son (Lomax) by charismatic real-estate broker Rick Carver (Shannon). Forced to live in a grubby and dangerous motel, Dennis strikes a deal with Rick that sees him work for the corrupt broker in order to get his home back. As Dennis starts to get sucked in to the seedy world of scamming honest hard workers and banks, he is then tasked with an upsetting job similar to the one that got him here in the first place…

IN ONE SENTENCE, WHY SHOULD YOU BE EXCITED?

A harsh and unsettling tale of corruption and greed with an underlying theme of today’s housing problems, 99 Homes offers two exceptional performances from Andrew Garfield and Michael Shannon, both of whom are on their game in this highly-tense drama-thriller.
