WHAT’S IT ABOUT?

In the late 1950s, young office clerk Rachel (Efira) meets Phillippe (Schneider), a well-educated young man from a wealthy background. They share a brief but passionate affair together, which ends with Rachel giving birth to a young girl. When Phillippe makes it clear that he wants nothing to do with the child, Rachel spends the next fifty years raising her daughter…
