WHAT’S IT ABOUT?

A group of soldiers enters an area that’s been deemed an environmental disaster zone, but only one of them, Kane (Isaac), comes back alive although he is gravely injured. His biologist wife Lena (Portman), desperate to save his life and find out what had happened to him and his fellow soldiers, volunteers to go on another expedition into the zone, but is not prepared for what she may find once in there…

IN ONE SENTENCE, WHY SHOULD YOU BE EXCITED?

Alex Garland’s follow-up to his astounding directorial debut Ex Machina is just as heavy and intelligent in its sci-fi themes, and should be a thrilling and extremely cerebral theatrical experience… unless you’re outside America, Canada or China, in which case this one’s headed straight to Netflix for some reason.
