WHAT’S IT ABOUT?

In late 1970s South Boston, FBI agent John Connelly (Edgerton) reaches out to his childhood friend – mob boss James “Whitey” Bulger (Depp) – to make a dirty deal to trade secrets of the Bureau in exchange for helping Bulger take down the rival Italian Mafia. However, the deal soon gets out of control with several murders and illegal activity eventually leading Bulger to being on the FBI’s Most Wanted list…
