WHAT’S IT ABOUT?

In a quiet suburban town, child prodigy Henry Carpenter (Lieberher) lives with his single mother Susan (Watts) and younger brother Peter (Tremblay). He also harbours a crush for his neighbour Christina (Ziegler), the stepdaughter of the Police Commissioner Glenn Sickleman (Norris), whom Henry suspects is harming Christina in some way. He comes up with a plan to help save her, and once Susan catches wind of her son’s scheme she decides to help push things into motion…

IN ONE SENTENCE, WHY SHOULD YOU BE EXCITED?

Colin Trevorrow may have recently made one of the biggest money-earners of all time with Jurassic World – and is currently set to make another, Star Wars Episode IX – but The Book of Henry reminds us that he hasn’t forgotten his indie roots with this whimsical Spielberg-ian family tale.
