WHAT’S IT ABOUT?

Danny Collins (Pacino) is a rock-and-roll star from the 1970s who refuses to give up his hard-living lifestyle. However, things are put into perspective when his manager Frank Grubman (Plummer) unearths an undelivered letter to him from none other than John Lennon, which causes Danny to embark on a heartfelt journey to reconnect with his family, including estranged son Tom (Cannavale), and rediscover his musical roots for the second chance in his life…

IN ONE SENTENCE, WHY SHOULD YOU BE EXCITED?

Danny Collins is an emotional ride with a strong lead performance from Al Pacino, who really needs a role like this in his current career decline (Jack and Jill, anyone?), and a sweet message of appreciating family and life over everything.
