WHAT’S IT ABOUT?

Former special forces operative Wade Wilson (Reynolds) is diagnosed with cancer, and in an attempt to cure himself of the fatal disease he subjects himself to a sinister experiment that leaves him heavily disfigured, but also with accelerated healing abilities. He dons a disguise and the nickname Deadpool and, combined with his new powers and his twisted sense of humour, hunts down the man who destroyed his life…

IN ONE SENTENCE, WHY SHOULD YOU BE EXCITED?

Deadpool is a very different kind of superhero movie, one that not only attempts to make up for the mistakes of the past – the character’s previous appearance in X-Men Origins: Wolverine was heavily criticised – but also places the iconic fan-favourite in a strictly for adults environment, a rarity in today’s superhero movie culture.
