WHAT’S IT ABOUT?

In Leeds 1977, Derek (Newberry) – better known as Dusty – is an 18-year-old who has just returned to his working class home after finishing his studies at Oxbridge. Eager to escape the confounds of his awkward family who he can’t relate to, he soon befriends a Greyhound named Slapper who proves to be a fast dog on the racetrack, but when Slapper is targeted by thieves he must stop them from taking the one thing he has to live for at home…

Dusty & Me is a good old-fashioned boy-and-his-dog story, told with an unmistakable Northern attitude that compliments the family-friendly hijinks and escapades said dog gets up to.
