WHAT’S IT ABOUT?

Reverend Ernst Toller (Hawke) is a solitary parish priest at a small 250-year-old church in upstate New York, and is visited one day by a pregnant parishioner (Seyfried) who asks the Reverend to counsel her radical environmentalist husband. As he ponders the situation, Toller’s past comes back to haunt him, and he must act to prevent things from getting too out of control…
