WHAT’S IT ABOUT?

Michael (Ashkenazi) and Dafna (Adler) are a middle-aged couple who receive the devastating news that their son Jonathan (Shiray) has been killed in the line of duty. While Dafna deals with the news in her own way, Michael begins to spiral into a whirlwind and anger in the midst of his confusion – until he learns that things might not be as they seem…

IN ONE SENTENCE, WHY SHOULD YOU BE EXCITED?

This Israeli drama was the country’s official selection for this year’s Foreign Language Film Oscar, and although it wasn’t nominated it still deserves to be seen for its surreal depiction of Israeli military life and the families connected to it.
