WHAT’S IT ABOUT?

Elle (Tomlin), a lesbian poet struggling to cope with the death of her long-term partner, is one day approached by her teenage granddaughter Sage (Garner), who reveals she’s pregnant and needs roughly $600 for an abortion. Though Elle herself is broke, she decides to spend time with her grandchild going around making unexpected visits to several possible patrons who can give her the money she needs, whilst dealing with the several secrets that are being dug up in the process…
