WHAT’S IT ABOUT?

Bart Millard (Finley) grows up trying to connect with his abusive father Arthur (Quaid), but a failed attempt at a sports career leads him down a path in music instead. He soon forms the Christian band MercyMe, and later uses his rough life experiences as inspiration for their hit song “I Can Only Imagine”…

IN ONE SENTENCE, WHY SHOULD YOU BE EXCITED?

While the song that this movie names itself after remains one of the biggest Christian ballads of all time, its origin came from a place of despair as this hopeful and faith-based biopic reveals to us.
