WHAT’S IT ABOUT?

In 1932, after spending a decade living in the United States after being deported, Irish political activist Jimmy Gralton (Ward) returns to his native country and re-opens the “Hall”, a young people’s centre where the youth can dance, study or talk freely. Although success is soon found, Jimmy’s influence and his radical tastes do not meet everyone’s standards…

IN ONE SENTENCE, WHY SHOULD YOU BE EXCITED?

Influential British director Ken Loach is said to be retiring after the release of Jimmy’s Hall, so this may be your last chance to watch his unique visions in multiplexes.
