WHAT’S IT ABOUT?

A year after being released from prison, middle-aged Carl (Jones) has managed to build a comfortable new life for himself, and is about to go on his first date in fifteen years. However, when his estranged mother Aileen (Reid) comes back into his life around the same time, her disturbing methods to mend the differences that drove them apart years ago will cause Carl to face the insidious demons of his past and be further drawn into the dark void of his psychological vortex…
