WHAT’S IT ABOUT?

Macbeth (Fassbender), a Scottish duke, encounters a trio of witches who relay a prophecy that he will soon be King of Scotland, usurping the current King Duncan (Thewlis). Consumed with desire, and persuaded by his wife Lady Macbeth (Cotillard), Macbeth murders Duncan and claims the throne for his own. However, it’s not long before complications threaten his rule…
