WHAT’S IT ABOUT?

Katie Price (Thorne) lives with a life-threatening sensitivity to sunlight thanks to a rare genetic condition, and has been kept sheltered since early childhood. She is housebound during the day with only her father (Riggle) for company, but during the night she goes out and lives a small but simple life playing guitar in the streets. One night, she meets Charlie (Schwarzenegger), a high-school athlete she has admired for years, and they begin a relationship – but only after she hides her condition from him…

IN ONE SENTENCE, WHY SHOULD YOU BE EXCITED?

Director Scott Speer’s previous film from this year was the gobsmackingly awful Status Update – can this teenage tearjerker prove that it was just a one-off miscalculation?
