WHAT’S IT ABOUT?

In 1970, preparations are underway for the Miss World beauty pageant at the Royal Albert Hall, with legendary comedian Bob Hope (Kinnear) hosting the event. Members of the newly-formed Women’s Liberation Movement, including activist Sally Alexander (Knightley), plan to disrupt the event to highlight its demeaning of women, while contestants such as Jennifer Hosten (Mbatha-Raw) try to use the platform as a means to show the world that anyone can be considered beautiful…

IN ONE SENTENCE, WHY SHOULD YOU BE EXCITED?

An entertaining look at the lead-up to the now legendary 1970 Miss World pageant, Misbehaviour tackles feminism from very different angles, each one being more insightful and fascinating than the last.
