WHAT’S IT ABOUT?

High school senior Vee (Roberts), tired of living life on the sidelines, is persuaded by her friends to participate in the popular online game Nerve, wherein “watchers” give “players” specific dares to carry out in order to win money. Initially signing on for one dare, Vee is soon drawn into an increasingly sinister night as the dares become more dangerous and death-defying, eventually leading to a shock finale that could determine her entire future…

IN ONE SENTENCE, WHY SHOULD YOU BE EXCITED?

Offering a sly commentary on the dangers of online gaming and the long-term risks that some stunts can bring, Nerve is both a sinister thriller and also a somewhat life-affirming film about going the extra distance.
