WHAT’S IT ABOUT?

Lyn (Scanlan) and her daughter Iona (Newmark) are extremely close with each other, and are excited to start a new life in a new town. At school, Iona becomes involved with a group of girls, while Lyn – feeling alone as her daughter is off with her new friends – befriends her neighbour in an attempt for human connection outside of Iona. However, as both their new lives start to unravel, they begin to retreat into a world of fantasy and lies…

IN ONE SENTENCE, WHY SHOULD YOU BE EXCITED?

A tale of a mother and daughter drifting apart is certainly not going to be the happiest of movies, but it’s carried through and through by the two exceptional lead performances and their wonderful chemistry.
