WHAT’S IT ABOUT?

Jim (Dickinson) travels from Essex to Soho in search of fame and fortune, but when he finds himself down on his luck he comes across The Raconteurs, a group of male escorts with an encyclopaedic knowledge of the arts. As Jim slowly descends from unsuccessful escort to an artist’s muse and art authenticator, further complicated by a rare psychosomatic condition that renders him painfully oversensitive to art, he wonders if he is willing to grab the opportunities now open to him…

IN ONE SENTENCE, WHY SHOULD YOU BE EXCITED?

Filmmaker Steve McLean follows up his 1994 debut film Postcards from America with a London-set story featuring male escorts, art and darkness at the heart of Soho.
