WHAT’S IT ABOUT?

After serving as a decorated soldier in the First World War, Siegfried Sassoon (Lowden) becomes renowned amongst the aristocratic higher-class and Britain’s theatre scene for his poetry inspired by his traumatic experiences on the Western Front. Throughout his life, he engages with members of high society, and becomes romantically involved with several high-profile men, but his trauma and struggles to accept his own sexuality soon become too much for him to bear…
