WHAT’S IT ABOUT?

In 1917, just outside the parish of Fátima, Portugal, ten-year-old shepherdess Lúcia dos Santos (Gil) and her younger cousins Jacinta (Howard) and Francisco (Lamelas) claim to have witnessed multiple visitations of the Virgin Mary, who informs them that only prayer suffering can bring an end to the First World War. Despite government officials and church leaders trying to get the children to recant their story, word of their encounter reaches across the land, and soon religious pilgrims are inspired to come to the site in order to witness the miracle for themselves…

IN ONE SENTENCE, WHY SHOULD YOU BE EXCITED?

Miracles are abound in this faith-based historical tale of a real case of spiritual connection, which is far more inspirational and good-natured than a number of other movies claiming to be of the same faith.
