WHAT’S IT ABOUT?

In 1976, middle-aged crane operator Maurice Flitcroft (Rylance) decides to enter the British Open, despite having never played a round of golf in his life. Driven by his endless optimism and self-belief, Flitcroft manages to qualify for the tournament at the highest level of the sport, earning the anger of its most elite members but also making him a British folk hero in the eyes of the public…
