WHAT’S IT ABOUT?

Zola (Paige), a waitress and part-time stripper, meets and strikes up a friendship with a young woman named Stefani (Keough), who convinces Zola to come with her on a weekend trip to Florida, where they can potentially earn lots of money stripping. However, when Zola meets Stefani’s nameless pimp (Domingo) and her insecure boyfriend Derrek (Braun), she finds herself caught in a much shadier – and increasingly bizarre – set of circumstances…

IN ONE SENTENCE, WHY SHOULD YOU BE EXCITED?

The infamous Twitter thread by Aziah “Zola” King is adapted into a unique, and thoroughly attention-grabbing, film which brings out the absolute wackiness of King’s initial 148-tweet long story.
