WHAT’S IT ABOUT?

For one night, dubbed The Purge, all crime is made legal for 12 hours with all emergency services shut down, leaving criminals free to do whatever they want. A couple (Gilford and Sanchez) driving home run out of gas just as the night begins, leaving them stranded and an open target; elsewhere, a man named Leo (Grillo) sets out to get revenge on the man (Keener) who killed his son, while a mother and daughter (Ejogo and Soul) flee their home after assailants destroy it. These five people eventually come together and try to survive the night…

IN ONE SENTENCE, WHY SHOULD YOU BE EXCITED?

Some were left unsatisfied by horror hit The Purge due to its limited setting and constrained execution despite some interesting ideas; now, with a larger budget and more possibilities, sequel The Purge: Anarchy finally has the free reign to explore the world it had previously created.
