WHAT’S IT ABOUT?

Five-year-old Jack (Tremblay) lives with his Ma (Larson) in a tiny room that has no windows, only a skylight. It is the only way of life that Jack knows, so when he discovers that their situation is much more disturbing, and that Ma is actually the victim of a horrific crime, he’s extremely shocked and confused. Both Jack and Ma eventually come up with an idea to escape once and for all, but once they do it will be difficult for both to adjust to the outside world…
