WHAT’S IT ABOUT?

Camille (Vinberg) is a lonely teenage girl whose life changes drastically when she befriends a local all-girls group of skateboarders known as the Skate Kitchen, and as she ventures further into the New York City subculture of skateboarding, she learns the true value of friendship, love, and believing in herself…

IN ONE SENTENCE, WHY SHOULD YOU BE EXCITED?

For her first narrative feature after breaking through with the riveting documentary The Wolfpack, filmmaker Crystal Moselle brings us a raw and natural tale of female skateboarding with a cast of mostly unknowns (aside from Jaden Smith, in his first feature role since his failed launch as an action star in the dismal After Earth).
