WHAT’S IT ABOUT?

In the early 2000s, the “Spotlight” division of The Boston Globe – fronted by its editor Walter Robinson (Keaton) and a team of investigative journalists including Mike Rezendes (Ruffalo), Sacha Pfeiffer (McAdams) and Matt Carroll (James) among others – uncover a massive scandal within the Catholic Church, one that spreads all over the world, and reveal it to the world in their Pulitzer Prize-winning piece of journalism…

IN ONE SENTENCE, WHY SHOULD YOU BE EXCITED?

A great ensemble cast, a fine filmmaker (who hopefully with this film will make people forget he even made The Cobbler) and the shocking true story of the scandal that rocked the Catholic religion to its core make Spotlight an essential film to see this awards season.
