WHAT’S IT ABOUT?

Maybelline (Weaver), a conservative church-choir director from Texas, is shocked to learn that her recently deceased son has left her his drag club in San Francisco, which is about to go bankrupt. To the surprise of her closed-minded community, she decides to head to the city and save the club from foreclosure, learning to open herself up to the club’s flamboyant performers and find a new meaning in her life…
