WHAT’S IT ABOUT?

In 1971, Dr. Philip Zimbardo (Crudup) – a psychology professor at Stanford University – conducts an experiment with a group of students to study the abusive patterns of prisoners and guards. He constructs a simulated prison area in the university’s psychology department, and assigns the students into the roles of either prisoners or guards – but when psychotic tendencies start to emerge in the “guards”, things spiral out of control…

IN ONE SENTENCE, WHY SHOULD YOU BE EXCITED?

The disturbing experiment that shocked the world in 1971 is reconstructed to bring its timelessly thought-provoking results to modern audiences.
