After he is attacked by a gang in the street, mild-mannered accountant Casey (Eisenberg) decides to take karate lessons in order to learn how to defend himself. At his local dojo, he meets the charismatic and mysterious Sensei (Nivola), who has some very unique – but questionable – methods for Casey to reacquire his confidence back…
