Brady (B. Jandreau) is a rising star in the rodeo circuit, living in financial poverty with his father (T. Jandreau) and autistic younger sister (L. Jandreau). When he is injured during a bullriding competition, he is told by doctors never to ride again, or else be susceptible to life-threatening seizures. Brady remains determined to return to the sport he loves, despite everyone’s advice against doing so, and he must soon decide whether to give up on his dream or continue and risk death…

IN ONE SENTENCE, WHY SHOULD YOU BE EXCITED?

Using mostly untrained actors for roles based on their own life experiences, The Rider is a unique and extremely emotional film that feels as authentic as any documentary out there.
