WHAT’S IT ABOUT?

Lily (Taylor-Joy) and Amanda (Cooke) are two upper-class teenagers in suburban Connecticut who reconnect after years of drifting apart. Though initially at odds with each other, they soon bond over their mutual disdain for Lily’s oppressive step-father Mark (Sparks), and decide to take a more radical route to get rid of him once and for all, which includes hiring local hustler Tim (Yelchin) to help them with their plot…

IN ONE SENTENCE, WHY SHOULD YOU BE EXCITED?

If Heathers were made today, odds are it would look and sound like Thoroughbreds, which not only features rising actresses Anya Taylor-Joy and Olivia Cooke working off each other to the audience’s delight, but it sadly also marks the final on-screen performance of Anton Yelchin before his untimely death in 2016.
