WHAT’S IT ABOUT?

Over the festive season, overprotective but loving father Ned (Cranston) goes to visit his eldest daughter Stephanie (Deutch) at college, along with his wife Barb (Mullally) and teenage son Scott (Gluck). While there, Stephanie introduces them all to her boyfriend, wealthy internet celebrity Laird Mayhew (Franco) whose well-meaning but socially-awkward behaviour causes Ned to despise him almost immediately. When he finds out that Laird intends on proposing to Stephanie in the next five days, Ned becomes set on proving to his daughter that he is not the right match for her…

IN ONE SENTENCE, WHY SHOULD YOU BE EXCITED?

Bryan Cranston fully commits to the kind of full-on comedic role that initially gained him attention early in his career, in this hilarious family comedy that’s most definitely not for the whole family.
