WHAT’S IT ABOUT?

Amid the busy amusement park at Coney Island in the 1950s, the lives of four people intersect with one another: Ginny (Winslet), a former actress now working as a waitress; her husband Humpty (Belushi) who operates a carousel; Mickey (Timberlake), a lifeguard who desires to be a playwright; and Carolina (Temple), Humpty’s estranged daughter who is hiding from gangsters…

IN ONE SENTENCE, WHY SHOULD YOU BE EXCITED?

If you can still stomach a Woody Allen movie despite some horrific accusations against him being brought back into the spotlight, then you just may well be enchanted by the filmmaker’s willingness to still make movies that aren’t half bad (most of the time, anyway).
