WHAT’S IT ABOUT?

A Baker (Corden) and his wife (Blunt) learn that they have been cursed by a Witch (Streep) which has caused them to have no children. Determined to set things right, the couple are instructed to head into the woods where they must find certain objects to break the spell. On their travels, they encounter several fairy tale characters including Cinderella (Kendrick), Little Red Riding Hood (Crawford), Rapunzel (Mauzy) and Jack (Huttlestone) who are all seeking fulfilment in their lesser lives…

Stephen Sondheim’s classic musical is finally given the big-screen treatment, with an ensemble of strong actors giving their vocal chords a good thrashing in order to deliver the songs as beautifully as they can allow.
