WHAT’S IT ABOUT?

At a struggling circus, run by Max Medici (DeVito), a baby elephant is born with oversized ears. Medici enlists one-armed war veteran Holt Farrier (Farrell) to care for the elephant, named Dumbo, to ensure his big ears don’t cause more embarrassment. However, when it is discovered that Dumbo’s enlarged ears give him the ability to fly, he attracts the attention of persuasive entrepreneur V.A. Vandemere (Keaton), who seeks to acquire Medici’s circus and exploit Dumbo for all that he’s worth…

Disney’s classic cartoon Dumbo gets a live-action makeover with the assistance of director Tim Burton, who’s more than a perfect fit for this when you consider all the strange imagery that the original gave us.
