WHAT’S IT ABOUT?

It’s the summer of 1939, and tensions between England and Germany are rising every day. Nonetheless, schoolteacher Thomas Miller (Izzard) applies for a role at an all-girls finishing school in the south of England, where several high-ranking members of the Nazi High Command have sent their daughters to, in order to prepare them for a National Socialist future. When Thomas foresees the threat that falls upon the innocent young women as the two countries grow ever closer to war, he must do whatever he can to spare them from harm, while also questioning his own loyalties…
