WHAT’S IT ABOUT?

In the late 80s, 17-year-old Kat Connors (Woodley) begins to explore her sexuality when she discovers that her seemingly-perfect mother Eve (Green) has disappeared. Growing up in an emotionally-repressed household, she barely registers her absence and finds herself not blaming her father Brock (Meloni) for the loss. As time goes by, however, she finds herself questioning her mother’s disappearance and her own denial of the events around her…

IN ONE SENTENCE, WHY SHOULD YOU BE EXCITED?

White Bird in a Blizzard is a haunting and engaging star vehicle for breakthrough young performer Shailene Woodley, whose rise to prominence last year in films like The Fault in Our Stars and Divergent – the sequel to which is only a few weeks away – will certainly help raise awareness for this intriguing project.
