WHAT’S IT ABOUT?

In the 1930s, a young man named Bobby (Eisenberg) decides to move from New York to Hollywood, where he is put to work for his uncle Phil (Carell), who is a major talent agent in the film industry. When Phil introduces his nephew to his secretary Vonnie (Stewart), they develop a mutual attraction that quickly becomes complicated amidst the pressures and difficulties in their personal lives…
