He uses them to travel back to 1940, where he finds a magical institute run by strict headmistress Miss Peregrine (Green), which houses children with very special abilities such as invisibility, flight and superhuman strength. As he gets to know the children, Jake soon makes a promise to protect them from sinister enemies including the “Wights”, as led by Mr. Barron (Jackson), which may be easier said than done…

IN ONE SENTENCE, WHY SHOULD YOU BE EXCITED?

Tim Burton returns to the weird and strange realm of eccentric fantasy, with a story that sounds just like something he would have directed back in the earlier days of his career.
