WHAT’S IT ABOUT?

During the Soviet famine of the early 1930s, a young Ukraine artist named Yuro (Irons) struggles to survive starvation and spare his childhood sweetheart Natalka (Barks) from succumbing to the same illness that is taking everyone around them. During this time, Yuri joins an anti-Bolshevik resistance movement to help fight for a free Ukraine and save the woman he loves…
