High school students Spencer (Wolff), Bethany (Iseman), Anthony (Blain) and Martha (Turner) are serving detention together when they discover an old video game named Jumanji, and when they start playing are suddenly sucked into the vast jungle environment that the game is set in. They find that they have taken the forms of the game’s avatars, with Spencer being the tough and muscular Dr. Smoulder Bravestone (Johnson), Anthony being weapons specialist Franklin “Moose” Finbar (Hart), Martha as commando Ruby Roundhouse (Gillan), and Bethany as the meek and noticeably male Professor Shelly Oberon (Black), and now they must play the game if they are to make it back home…

IN ONE SENTENCE, WHY SHOULD YOU BE EXCITED?

The classic 1994 family film gets a long-overdue follow-up that takes the game to more exciting heights, and gives it a whole new spin that’s more than welcome to this series.
