In 1950s London, Reynolds Woodcock (Day-Lewis) is a renowned dressmaker who, along with his sister Cyril (Manville), dresses royal family members, film stars, heiresses, socialites, debutantes and dames with their own distinctive style. However, when confirmed bachelor Reynolds meets and soon falls for the strong-willed Alma (Krieps), he slowly finds his carefully tailored life is being disrupted by his love for her…
