WHAT’S IT ABOUT?

After pouring his life savings into submitting a team for the Rucker Classic street ball tournament in Harlem, Dax (Howery) faces a number of setbacks including losing his basketball team, and later his girlfriend (Haddish), to rival coach Mookie (Kroll). Desperate, he sets out to convince aged basketball legend Uncle Drew (Irving) to come out of retirement and play in the tournament, which he agrees to – on the condition that he form his own team made up of other elderly former basketball legends…

Based on a series of Pepsi commercials (because Hollywood will make a movie out of anything these days), this film puts NBA All-Stars like Kyrie Irving, Shaquille O’Neal and Chris Webber in old-age prosthetics for our collective amusement.
