WHAT’S IT ABOUT?

Five years after an invasion by DUPLO blocks, the LEGO city of Bricksburg has become an apocalyptic wasteland, but while everyone else has become toughened and hardened by the experience, construction worker Emmett (Pratt) remains as blissfully optimistic as ever. However, he must step up his game when intergalactic invader General Sweet Mayhem (Beatriz) kidnaps his friends, including his girlfriend Lucy (Banks), Batman (Arnett) and Princess Unikitty (Brie), and takes them to the Systar System which is ruled by the shapeshifting alien Queen Whatevra Wa-Nabi (Haddish). Emmett must now use his Master Builder skills to save his friends and stop the LEGO universe from being taken over by the new invaders…

IN ONE SENTENCE, WHY SHOULD YOU BE EXCITED?

Everything is awesome once more as we make a grand return to the LEGO movie universe, with original directors Phil Lord and Christopher Miller returning as writers and producers to build upon the incredible world they introduced in the first one.
