WHAT’S IT ABOUT?

Alex (Serkis) is a young boy who is picked on at school and doesn’t seem to have anything special about him. One day, however, he unexpectedly comes across King Arthur’s famous sword Excalibur, and upon pulling it he discovers that he is destined to form a new round table of knights to prepare for a new battle against the evil Morgana (Ferguson), with the help of legendary wizard Merlin (Stewart) who has disguised himself as a young man (Imrie)…

IN ONE SENTENCE, WHY SHOULD YOU BE EXCITED?

The legend of King Arthur is brought to modern day with a kid-centric twist from writer-director Joe Cornish, whose last film was the 2011 cult sci-fi flick Attack The Block.
