WHAT’S IT ABOUT?
Bill Bryson (Redford), a celebrated travel writer, decides to challenge himself on the brink of retirement by hiking the Appalachian Trail, a 2,200-mile of unspoiled American countryside that runs from Georgia to Maine. He is encouraged to have a travelling companion, and finds one in his old friend Katz (Nolte), a down-on-his-luck philanderer – however, while Bill seeks peace and tranquillity on his trek, Katz sees an opportunity for one last true adventure before it’s too late…
