WHAT’S IT ABOUT?

50s artist Margaret Keane (Adams) thrives as her paintings of children with unusually big eyes sell across the country – however, it is her husband Walter Keane (Waltz) who is taking credit for the paintings and is leaving Margaret at home to generate the paintings while he exploits her work with his signature at the bottom of each picture. The ruse soon leads to a bitter court case, where the true artist is destined to be revealed to the world…

IN ONE SENTENCE, WHY SHOULD YOU BE EXCITED?

Tim Burton steps away from the dark and gothic fantasies with Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter, instead focusing on a smaller and more poignant tale of an artist’s struggle within the traps of an unhappy marriage.
