WHAT’S IT ABOUT?

In the mid-90s, aspiring writer Joanna (Qualley) moves to New York and gets a job at one of the city’s oldest literary agencies, run by eccentric agent Margaret (Weaver) who represents reclusive writer J.D. Salinger. During her job, Joanna is tasked with writing generic replies to people who send fan mail to Salinger, which she soon uses to develop her own writing voice…
